Terms and conditions

1. Who you are contracting with

Goblin Forge is operated by Alexander Hili, trading as Goblin Forge, based in Malta ("we", "us"). By creating an account or continuing to use the service, you agree to these terms and enter into an agreement with Alexander Hili.

You must be of legal age to form a contract, and if you use Goblin Forge for an organisation you confirm you may bind it.

2. The service

Goblin Forge uses AI to write one-shot adventures for fifth-edition compatible tabletop games, including scenes, NPCs, encounters and stat blocks, which you can edit, save, print and export.

3. Your account

Keep your sign-in details confidential and your information accurate. You are responsible for activity under your account.

4. Subscriptions and payment

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Plans are billed monthly and renew automatically on your billing date until cancelled. Each plan includes a set number of adventures per billing period; unused adventures do not roll over. Payment, billing, taxes, cancellation and refunds are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Our refund policy gives you a full refund on your first month if the service is not for you; payments made after the first month cannot be refunded. You can cancel at any time from Subscription & usage; access continues until the end of the paid period.

5. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service. In particular you must not:

  • use it for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or to send spam;
  • infringe anyone's intellectual property or ask it to reproduce protected material;
  • generate hateful, harassing, sexually exploitative, or violent-extremist content, deepfakes of real people, or malware;
  • attempt to bypass safety filters, limits or allowances ("jailbreaking"), probe, scrape or disrupt our systems;
  • reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the service itself.

6. AI output and your content

You are responsible for your prompts and settings, for having the right to anything you put in, and for how you use the results. AI output can be inaccurate or unbalanced; review rules, encounter difficulty and content before play. Subject to these terms and to the SRD licence notices, you may use adventures you generate for your own games and publications. You grant us a limited licence to host and process your content only to provide the service. We may remove or refuse content, filter outputs, or restrict accounts that break these terms. Rights holders can report infringing material to alex+goblinforge@hiliconsulting.eu; repeated infringement leads to suspension.

7. Our intellectual property

We own the Goblin Forge software, design, documentation and branding. Rules material from the System Reference Document is used under CC BY 4.0, see attribution. Goblin Forge is not affiliated with Wizards of the Coast.

8. Service level

We work to keep Goblin Forge available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. The service is provided "as is", and implied warranties are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Liability

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits or data. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious violations. You may delete your account at any time from your account page; your data is then deleted.

11. General

These terms are governed by the laws of Malta, and its courts have jurisdiction, without removing any consumer rights you have where you live. We are not responsible for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control. We may update these terms and will show the new date above. Questions: alex+goblinforge@hiliconsulting.eu.
